Ziti is a young lady who is eager to please her person, she seems to have some willingness to work or possibly be a sport level dog if you are willing to coax it out of her. She looks to her handler for guidance quite a bit since it seems that she did not have a lot of human engagement or play time before coming into foster care. Overall is a very teachable young lady that is looking for someone to share this amazing life with – maybe that’s you?
If Ziti were a human, she would be the ultimate BFF who just wants to chill and hang out with her person. She is willing to try new things as long as it is with her person, so whatever you can think of she is ready! If it is time to cuddle on the couch and watch Christmas movies, count her in! Time to go on a hike in the mountains, sounds like a blast let’s go! Let you pet another dog; well jealousy might rear its head for that one. This lady seems to be indifferent to strangers and other animals, she allows the landlady to give her pets without any issues, but it seems that she is not a fan of high drive or out-of-control dogs as they get her very amped up.
During car rides, she can be very drooly and is the same way when coming out of her crate as well. Loud noises do not seem to bother her too much at all. If there are other dogs around the area while she is in the yard she will “fence fight” them and the same way if they walk by her while she is crated as well, further training will be required to curb this as it’s a work in progress. One of her favorite things besides being around her person is food, this girl loves her snacks. #IThinkWeAllDoZiti During training she likes to clack her teeth together so her foster started calling her Ms. ClackClack.
During Ziti’s time in foster care, she has mastered the Sit command. She is also working on mastering Wait, Place, Recall, and Off command. She is continuing to work on her leash manners, is doing better with her house manners as well, she will get into anything that she thinks is good smelling/tasting and will surf counters like no other! Her foster is working diligently with her to get her to be a proper lady in the house, but it takes time and she is getting better with each day. While in foster care she performed an unplanned disassembly of a leather leash, her foster is working with her and an E-collar on vibrate to curb this type of behavior and Ziti has responded well with the collar on vibrate only.
Ziti is in search of her forever home that will work on her training and shaping her into the best dog ever. She is still learning how this big ol’ world works and would love to find someone who can help her learn about it and guide her through it. She needs a home that is active and that can challenge her mind and body daily. If you are looking for a gem that needs some polishing, look no further than Ziti!
